Innovation in Agribusiness: New game, New Rules
Based on years of experience in developing agribusiness management software and building consistent and lasting relationships with various market players, Hub Conexa is the result of an evolving of an innovative process management at SIAGRI.
In this process, the organization has been responding with investments and structural changes that associated with dreams and consistent purposes, made possible the creation of Conexa, which started its operation from April 2019.
To better understand our history within an evolutionary process, we have well recorded the cycles that were fundamental in our construction and are characterized as follows:
Between 1998 and 2011, considered as the “Foundation of Everything”, the cycle was characterized by the construction of SIAGRI ERPs that were essential for the execution of vision for the business. During this period, also positioning itself as an innovator, it is already developing its first Web platform for issuing agronomic revenues.
The years between 2012 and 2014 were a cycle characterized by the “Anguish of wanting and not being able”, this because we are dedicated to investments outside the operation and focus on structuring an integrated management model of these businesses.
From 2014 to 2016, we made “The First New Steps” when from the Operations area, we split up and created the Products and Services departments so that we could focus on activities in each área. In this period we also created the new platforms such as BI, distance learning and solutions for the area of seeds.
With the experience of the previous cycle, between 2016 and 2018 we took a new step by creating a specific Innovation Board with Startup Style, made up of an R&D team and startups that enabled us to execute an innovation model that proved successful and brought us learning and experience for “The discovery that we could do more“.
In this cycle, products and tools have already been developed that received various directions, such as absorption by the company’s operation, spin-off for other businesses, among others.
Since the second half of 2018, we had the clarity that for a new game, we needed new rules in our innovation process and that a bigger jump in our history was represented in the dream of creating Conexa, a Innovation Hub for SIAGRI.
